SHORT BIO

How do you musically categorize a truly genuine and versatile artist who’s been at the core of so many important musical movements? Eritza was raised in the birthplace of Reggaeton,  Panama. What is a new trend to the world, for her is not only second nature, its in her blood! Her mother, a big lover of R&B, raised Eritza to a soundtrack of Stevie, Lionel Richie, El DeBarge, and her two favorite artists, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Listening to their voices as a baby around the house let her know one thing… She was going to be a Singer! Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think that the day would come when she would write songs for both mega stars! Moving to NYC with her family in her early teens gave her the opportunity to hit the pavement and chase her dreams! She soon caught the ear of an A&R at Def Jam who would become the first person to giver her a shot, writing and singing hooks for Hip Hop artist like Ja Rule, Ludacris, and DMX. She quickly went on to write songs and work with their Def Soul roster which included artist like Montell Jordan, Case, Dru Hill, Ashanti and many others. In her 21 years of consecutively having her songs published on Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, & Latin artist, Eritza has one common thread in her discography… writing songs for iconic artist. Expect to hear all of these genres tastefully blended in her debut project! Her debut single “Boom Diggy” ("Black GirlMagic”) is a salute to black women and their unique beauty. “I wanted to dedicate a fun record to black women all around the world to remind them how valuable  our beauty is.  When a beautiful black woman steps into a room, You hear music! She walks to the beat of her own soundtrack. And whether it her ass, her hips, her lips, her hair, everyone wants a piece of that “Black Girl  Magic.”
